About Sceptre Accountancy
Sceptre Accountancy was set up to give business owners the kind of advice they were not getting from a once-a-year relationship. We work with individuals, small and medium businesses and family groups, from straightforward returns through to multi-entity structures that need ongoing support.
- Founded in 2023 in Mount Barker, South Australia
- Chartered Accountants ANZ and registered tax agents
- Clients across Australia, working in the cloud
The people you will work with
You deal with the same people every time. There is no account manager in between, and you will not be handed down to someone you have never met.
Jonathan Roberts
Director
Jon is a Chartered Accountant with a Master of Professional Accounting degree. As director of Sceptre Accountancy, he doesn’t just work out the numbers; he explains what they mean, spots the opportunities and gives clear, useful advice you can rely on. Complex tax matters and ‘out of the box’ business situations are his favourite kind of puzzles.
Having set up and run several businesses himself, Jon knows firsthand the challenges small business owners face.
Outside the office, Jon is a husband and father of four, volunteers for charity, plays instruments and loves the outdoors. He’s always keen to learn new skills and meet new people, which is good news for you.
So come in and say hello. Jon’s got the coffee on and a soft spot for a good slice of cake, so bring one along and you’ll have his full attention (and possibly a lifelong friend).
Cameron Sears
Accountant
Cameron has a Master’s in Business (Professional Accounting) and comes from a background in government. He genuinely enjoys helping clients get to the best possible outcome for their finances, from keeping daily records in order to the advisory side that turns a set of numbers into a sensible next step.
He uses AI to quietly handle the repetitive work, so more of his time goes to the part he actually enjoys, helping clients.
He lives in the Adelaide Hills with his wife and three kids. In his spare time he’s out hiking or just listening to music, and he stays quietly faithful to a football club called Tottenham that has tested his optimism more times than he cares to count.
What we care about
Proactive, not reactive
We do not wait until year end to raise something. If we see a problem or an opportunity, you hear about it while you can still act on it.
Plain language
We explain tax, structuring and reporting in words you can act on, without the jargon.
A long-term relationship
We prefer long-term relationships. We would rather be in your corner for years than see you once a year at lodgement time.
